Need help

I had someone replace engine in my inboard/outboard Starcraft boat then he got sick now I am trying to put outdrive back on and I noticed that there is 2 steel plates where rear transom seal (boot) goes on can anyone tell me if both of then go on the outside of the boat or does one go inside the boat and one on outside> I am lost and I can not even find a manual for the wiring.
any help would be great

Welcome!

First and foremost you absolutely HAVE to let the guys know what year & model of motor and outdrive you have.
Is this a glass or tinny Starcraft?
Do you have an OEM manual? If not, after you post the info above, you will be shown where to download one.

I am sorry its a 1976 starcraft sunray with 195hp 351 OMC and sorry no I do not have the manual I wish I had one.

Ok..I see you have a LOT of threads going on this, both here (MERCRUISER FORUM) as well as in the proper place OMC.
The OMC stuff, I know absolutely nuthin bout..Be patient over in the OMC side and you WILL be helped.
Its what we do around here
