Have a 2007 194 FS 5.0L GL with a 14 1/8 x 19 four blade SS prop . Rpm tops out at 2750 WOT . Doing about 47 mph . Operating range should be between 4300 and 4800 rpm. No one can help me around where I live anyone have any suggestions ?

Welcome to iBoats . . .

Tell us a little bit more about your boat, etc . . . like brand names . . . I assume you have a Volvo-Penta engine (?)

Anyway, 47 mph and 2750 RPM does not sound like a correct combination of RPM and speed. So, maybe verify the engine RPM with another source first. It may be a tachometer issue.

I agree,The tach isn't accurate.
There may be a switch on the back of the tach.Note its position and operate it a few times to clean the contacts.
A very rough estimate at 47 mph your rpm is about 4300.I think it should be higher with a 19" prop on a 19 ft boat.
But lets solve the tach issue first. You may be able to borrow a shop tach or buy a portable tach.

It's a 2007 Monterey 194 FS has only fifty hours on it . Volvo Pentax SX drive . 5.0L GL carb engine. I switch props from the stock one . The one that came on it was the same thing just aluminum .

Re: Need help

It's been like that when I first got the boat . With the old prop it was 2900 rpm . At about 50 to 51 mph.

Re: Need help

I'm not sure of your point. No boat can do 51 at 2900 rpm. You have to solve your tach problem before we can help you.
It may just be loose or corroded connections.
