need ID on Johnson motor

wanting to buy a 65 starcraft, and it has a 35hp johnson motor on it. Seller knows nothing of the boat or motor. I want the boat for parts for a 65 I have, and maybe keep the motor for it. Can anyone give me any information about this motor? Thanks.

Looks to be a 79 long shaft.

Good when it left the factory.----But it is now 40 years old.

They had overheating problems if running in weedy waters. Fixed in later years when they moved the water intake location.

where is the water intake now compared to where it is on the one in the pic.

More towards the rear of the lower unit housing.
