Need idea of trade in value of boat.....

I have a 2000 1440MV lowe rivited boat. It has a 1999 15horse Mercury mn start and a 2001 Yacht club trailer. I got all of it new in the fall and winter of 2000-2001. What should I expect in trade in value on another boat. I am looking at a used 1993 Johnson 50 hourse with t@t on a new Blazer 1756AW semiV with deck, steering, and seats. It has a new heavy duty trailer.<br />The dealer wants $5700 without my trade.<br />Any thoughts and ideas?<br />thanks<br />longshot

You'll probably get 1/2 what you paid for it. You will lose no matter what. That is how the dealership makes money. Off people who trade in. The best bet is to sell the boat yourself. I'm always looking for a good deal.( cars-boats-big boy toys) Most people want to sell whatever at retail price, but if I have cash I want to buy at wholesale. And I don't mind working on it and fixing it. Sometimes it's a gamble, but it's more of a sure thing than dropping money in the slot machines.
