Re: Need ignition wiring help

If is a 85 hp it should be a Force my book only shows chryslers as 80s unfortunatly Rapair lists, 1 system for force 2 for 80 hp Chryler in 1984 and 2 systems for 1976 105 chrysler, so we need to know more about the systems If they are both Magna Power it should work the rest gets tougher--Bob

The 85 and 105 wiring would be different regarding the ignition systems. What a suprise, eh? The 85 grounds out the ignition system to kill the motor. The 105 provides battery voltage to the amplifier and it kills when that power is shut off.

If the 85hp has a belt driven distributor then it is a batery ignition.<br />If the 105 has a belt driven dist. the wiring should be the same or it may be a mag type two system which has four seperate coils on the outside of the cyl head.
