need info about OLD minn kota elec. motor

i have a minn-kota 6-12 volt electric motor mfg.by the minn kota mfg.co. moorehead,minn.<br />i have no idea what yr it was made but i do have the serial#. #12272 it is an old motor w a kind of "fishhook" shaft and am trying to find out some info on it. any help would be greatly appreciated thx<br />null

12footer thx for the site but it only shows the new stuff and then a link for northern marines. not having much luck w any info on this motor. not even minn-kota will reply to my inquires this has to be one of the 1st motors they built

Yea, I kinda figured it was a dinosaur by the 6 to 12VDC thing.But I also didn't figure on MinnKota being such stick-in-the-muds by not replying to an inquiry.<br />I'm lookin at going to a larger saltwater TM,and think I'll look further into Motorguide,given the response you have received from your querry (Plus some other horror stories I have heard of thier QC lately)<br />Sorry to hear they wouldn't help you.<br /><br />

Hi Guys<br /><br />I have the exact outboard you have and the serial # is 12201. A little bit older than yours. Have you found out any further info. If you did please let me know. Thanks Chappie

I just bought two minn kota 6-12 volt trolling motors serial # 24330 and #11930. I would like to learn as much as I can about their performance characteristics. I will be happy to share my experiences with the group. Thanks: NCL
