Need info on 1982 J25RCNB

I am looking at a 1982 25 hp Johnson J25RCNB. Interested in knowing what some of you know about this motor, good or bad. Any common problems / issues with this particular model? How easy / hard are repair parts to come by?

Any info would be greatly appreciated!!!

No trouble getting any parts for that.

Check the compression, ensure it runs under load (on water), check the gearcase for water intrusion (loosen lower drain plug slightly and see if the oil at bottom of gearcase is white or milky), Check overall condition of motor.

BTW, what are they asking for it?

Actually looking at a trade. I have a larger remote steered motor, and am looking to trade for a tiller steer.

Would you have any comment on the value of the motor? Have only seen pics, at this point, but it appears to be in excellent condition. Owner says 125 lb on both cylinders, states no mechanical defects.
