I have a 1969 orlando clipper boat with a 55 evinrude outboard. I am currently using the plastic 6 gal tanks that have the fuel level on the tank. I am wanting to install a fuel gauge on the dash. What do I need to make this possible? Thanks in advance.

You can buy an adjustable height fuel sender that is made for permanent fuel tanks and adapt it to the portable tanks. It may be possible to adapt it to the fuel cap of the portable tanks. If not you will have to drill the right size hole to accept the fuel sender, in the tanks.
A wiring diagram will come with the fuel sender.

Have a look at this link, Teleflex has a section on fuel sender installation just scroll down and you will see it on the right side. Note: They don't recommend using portable tanks. Teleflex
