need information for remote controls

new to the forum. though I'd start here. I'm wanting to install a trolling/kicker motor on my sea nymph . I know that motors require adapter kits to attach a set of remote control. I haven't purchased a motor as of yet because I've been trying to research what's available out there for kits. I've found mercury stuff but I can't locate anything for OMC say mid 90's and 2000 vintage engines . does anyone know where to find that ? .
