Need Mercruiser Alpha One outdrive. What kind???

I need to purchase the upper unit for a MerCruiser Alpha One. It is for a 1992 Starcraft 171 boat. Where can i purchase what i need for a good price? What type do I need? What gear ratios are being used? I have a serial number that came off the drive, does it mean anything:

Anyone use unit manufactured by Sterndrive Engineering?? It is an aftermarket unit built to 100% Mercruiser specs, but a lot cheaper.

$1250 for complete unit. I was looking at the SE106. Any thoughts?

I have an SE106 upper (didn't need the lower). It installed easily, and haven't had any problem with it. I've only got about 30 hours on it. Just follow the break in procedure to the letter...
