Need more "bite"

I have a 4.3 V6 205HP Yamaha with a Yamaha outdrive. I get pretty good top end, but two problems I have, not big problems. First, I feel like my initial hole shot is a little sloppy, like the prop isn't biting hard. Second, in a higher speed, steep turn, I get cavitation pretty bad. Any ideas on what kind of prop might help?

Yep, a better one.

Seriously though, we need more info. What prop do you have now? Is it worn or like new? Stainless or aluminum or plastic?

Figuring out a way to better performance is like taking a trip. (How do you get to Atlanta? Don't know what to tell ya cause I don't know where you're at) Once we know where you're at we can plan on how to get where you want to be -- better holeshot and probably reduce slip too.

The one that is on there now is aluminum. Not sure of the specs because it looks like it was added later possibly.

Without more info it's going to be real hard to make a recommendation. We need to know top rpm, speed and what pitch the existing prop is. Once we know that we'll know where you're at on the performance road (can calculate slip %).
