need new control

Hi I have a 1981 80 hp merc serial number 5903596<br />last sunday my control died. Does anyone know of a good replacement for the quicksilver control. I read in an earlier post that D T S recomended a merc part number 881170a3. Just wondering if that would work for me. thanks

The guys here helped me out with mine. Check ebay there are a lot of controls there.
