need new prop 91 vip vision 1760 3.0l mercruiser

Just got this boat 91 vip vision 1760 with 3.0l mercruiser sterndrive and the prop is in need of replacing. can't find any info on the size and pitch it has. there are several numbers stamped on the current prop. JMS673, JMS891, FMCH2672, BMCH1463, 2608. stern drive is showing 3.0l Mercruiser Alpha One on it. Please help would like to go to a 4 blade prop as i hear they work better for pulling things.

Your prop size should appear under the prop nut or possibly on the under side. _ _ X _ _.
A prop intended for your 3.0 will be the correct diameter even if slightly different than the present diameter.
It would help to have a lightly loaded base line test with the wot rpm and gps speed.
Typical pitch sizes are usually 17",19" or 21".Actual selection would depend on your typical load and activities.
Also your base line numbers will help tell us about your present setup.

Ok so found the prop part# 48-79574A4 and according to this site it is a 15 1/2" 19 pitch... so if i went to a 4 blade instead of the current 3 blade what size would i need??

A 14"x17", or 14"X18" 4 blde Depending on what your WOT rpm is, or was now?

Thank you for the info. I haven't yet put it in the water as the prop is in need of replacing. i have found someone that has the right prop (3 blade).
