I live in Vancouver, and found a mid/late 90s 21' Omega powerboat for sale. I don't have a picture, but it looks very similar to one I found on Yahoo (see link - http://ts2.mm.bing.net/th?id=HN.6080...65445&pid=15.1).
I've been searching google for hours trying to find information on Omega Boats, but there is really nothing. All I know is they started in 1973 and went bankrupt sometime around 2006.
Does anyone have any feedback or opinions on the quality of Omega Boats (especially later years from 1990 plus).
Anyone ever own or been in one of these mid 90s boats? I want it as a family lake crusier, ski'ing, tubing, and possibly wake boarding. Based on its low profile, do you think it handle well, turn sharp, and be good for these water activities? BTW - does anyone know what these types of boats (with low profiles) were built for - were they designed for rivers and real shallow waters, or does this low profile allow for faster takeoff and speed?
Thanks
