First.... many thanks steelspike!
I have a 1953 Sea-King 5hp model# 35GG-9015
Looking for a repair manual, shift cable or rod not sure which was used its gone, impellor (water pump),and recoil spring (the big one) and a small spring... for 1 of dogs in the recoil assembly.
I love the way its made with the cowling and the attached gas tank. It looks very well made. Never heard it run tho. I didn't have spark so pulled the flywheel cleaned the points reset the gap....still didn't have spark on the upper cylinder... had to remove the plug wire from the coil and trim back to new wire that did it. But dont want to run it when you have to start it in gear (its stuck in gear) I realize I could most likely get it in neutral but figure if I go that far may as well fix it. But wanna be sure parts are semi available before I go gung-ho. Like my wife claims I always do. She sure doesnt complain when my motors run and take her fisin.
Thanks for any info you may contribute.

Scott

Re: Need parts for sea king 5hp

Try www.tcoutboard.com and watch ebay. There is
a slim chance it shares parts with some Johnson motors
possibly the TN28 and or the TD20 the TN28 has a neutral clutch and more modern type ignition.
The TD20 has no clutch and an older ignition
that I believe is shared with some Gale devision
motors. This are purely an educated guess based on
a 48 Goodyear and a Tn28 and TD20 I have.
Probably not much help but maybe Twin Cities can help.
