I have a 1975 johnson 25 hp model 25e75b. On ebay is a prop for 25r75b same year. When looking up new parts the part numbers are
0383629
0379717
0592959
After checking both models I found both to use same prop. The problem is the on on ebay has a number of 315084, which could be a diffrent brand, Then I get into looking at pitch and all that and get lost. Basically the they were 9x9 and 9x10. But now I see where there are diffrent tooth counts on the splines 13 and 14 tooth. IS there a simplier way or do I just bite the bullet and order new. I run in the river alot hence the need for new prop and dont really want to dump $150 and tear it up next time the walleye are biting. Any advice would be mucho appreciato

The 1975 25 hp uses a pin drive non through hub exhaust prop.Spline props are 1978-84 and are non through exhaust hub props.Through hub began in 85.May be when spline count changed.
you need a pin drive non through hub prop. Any 69-77 prop in the correct pitch for your application will work.
If you read the helps on the prop store page it will help you understand props better.
Read the stickys at the top of the page and get us as much info as possible and we'll try to get you set up. The key number in prop selection is the pitch the diameter usually just follows the design extreme differences in diameter should be avoided except in certain specific applications.
