Need Replacement Dehumidifier

The old Fridigaire is starting to lose it, freezing up most of the time.

Looking to replace it with a quality, low temprature model for use, mostly in the basement.

Not expecting it to last forever, but the user reviews for some models, seem like they die after a year or two.

Any recommendations make/model?

Bought an LG from Home Cheapo three years ago. It pretty much runs 24/7 here in Florida. So far not one problem. Keep the filter clean and she's good to go. I think we paid about $250.00 or somewhere along that line.

Another vote for the LG from Home Depot. I think I paid about $200 and it runs throughout the summer here in Wisconsin and does a good job. It's a pretty nice unit with a digitial display of current humidity levels and desired setting.

Re: Need Replacement Dehumidifier

Was deciding between the LG and Frigidaire. The LG must be a decent unit as my HD was out of them.

Picked up the LG 65 pint model, at the Indy Home Depot. Sound's pretty good with it's rotary compressor. The 5 year P/L warranty is better than most.

My old, wet, nasty basement is drying as we speak!

Update:

The 21 pint bucket filled in about 6 hours. Somewhat messy to remove, sloshing some water on the floor. Will switch over to the continous drain soon.

Runs pretty quiet for dehumidifier.

Thanks for everyones input.
