I have 2 Scott-Atwater outboards. I was told by my father that one was a 10hp and the other was a 5hp. I beleive that the tiller handles have been swapped so the ID plate really does me no good. They are both 1954 or 55. If the powerhead, and carb serial numbers are the same on both motors, wouldn't they both be 5hp. The motors look identical and look like the 5hp I've seen in old ads.

Post the serial/model numbers and I'll look them up for you.

The engine # is 3755-1881 and the carb # is MD 75A.

Both motors are identical except that the cowling on one has the large white Scott letters with no hp designation, and the other has smaller blue and white scott letters with 5 hp on the front of the cowling.
