need some advise

I have a2008 bayliner 175 and it won't start, it will crank but won't idle. we have changed fuel, fuel filter and cleaned the carburator thoroughly. any body have any other ideas. thank you Jenn

is the safety lanyard on correctly? ive done it before, forgot to hook it up and the boat will crank and maybe start for a second or two then die.
