I recently installed a reman'd long block from Rapido.
after running the motor (in neutral on the trailer backed down the ramp) for 30-45 minutes and a brief run around the lake (maybe 20 minutes)
developed a minor oil leak on the starbored side. today I went back to the marina to do some inspections (trying to find the oil leak).
I pulled the valve cover off on that side to inspect the gasket and re-torque the valve cover down.
Found a little milky oil in a low spot of the head....!$#%@%^
There is no milky oil on the dipstick.
I re used the 1pc style exhaust manifolds. Last week I order the 2pc conversion and they will be here Wednesday.
When the new manifolds get here, I'll attempt to pinpoint the oil leak, install the new manifolds and change the oil.
Anything else I need to do the get the little bit of water out of the motor? I imagine that the water will evaporate, but just want to make sure I'm not missing something.
Thoughts...Opinions?
Thanks.
