I rebuilt the solex 44 on my VP 230a. Set the screw for the idle and idle mix per the service manual. 2 turns after touching the plate and 8 back from the seat. The engine will start after pumping the throttle. You can see a stream of fuel from the main jet in the center of the venturi. I guess I will pull it again tomorrow. I got tired of the bugs dive bombing me tonight. Any ideas what may have gone wrong? It has clean new fuel, new plugs, wires,. It ran good before the carb rebuild. Only problem was it would stall when shifting in and out of gear like getting into the dock and wouldn't re start until it cooled some. The carb was pretty dirty. I am not real sure where to go from here.
