need some help please

i have a 1993 bayliner that has a 90 hp force motor i think it is a 3 cyl it only has three inline spark plugs my problem is i had it on the lake all day mem day ran fine i pulled in to the marina to grab some drinks turned it off and when i came back to leave it started a few times and died then would not start back at all i took it home i have checked the spark plug 1 at the top is sparking although it is not a strong spark plug two is also sparking but is even weaker and 3rd plug is really not that strong aswell i have even diconnected the motor from the onboard stating system used starter fluid sparingly and yet it just cranks i have checked the whole fuel system no leaks no water and no blockages but yet all it will do is crank over does not even try to start your input on my problem would greatly be appreciated

Go to the Engine FAQs Forum, LTB. Do the troubleshooting in "Outboard won't start".

Let us know what you find.

well hooray got my boat back today and all it costed me was 500 hundred dollars aparently the stator was bad on the low speed side and would run on the high speed side also the timing was off also the 9 amp stator system is junk i been told so i have upgraded to a 16 amp runs great well money spent thanks for all you guys help
