Need some info on a motor?

The only number the guy can find on this motor is a serial number.0b394879. The guy says its an 89 45 hp merc, Does this number indicate that he is correct, and what about shaft lenght, do the numbers indicate that also?

If it's a 4 Cylinder, then it could be. Shaft length is 20".<br /><br />45HP B393190 - 1989 4 cyl Sometimes the "O" is ommited.
