Need some opinions

Hi! I've gotten to the point in my project(1962 17ft Aristocraft Funliner) to start thinking about what color to paint it, and I need some opinions before I pull my hair out. I was thinking dark blue(not the "aqua blue" it was) on top(above the trim) and white on the bottom, then I got to thinking all white would be better. I've never been good at making big decisions so I need some opinions. Thanks!!!

i only have one problem with it. the dark color gets hot, lay your arm on the gunnel, and ouch. this is a 1966 14 ft SportCraft, sportsman i just finished.

I like the dark color bottom, white on top look like TD's. Blue on white will be very nice.

I think you should paint the top a metallic blue kind of like a 87' iroc and the bottom white.

Dark colors are going to require more work (shows water spots, dirt, etc.) keeping clean and they get warmer. IMHO they look nicer.

Lighter colors are cooler and don't show as many imperfections. There is a reason 99% of boats are white.

I would recommend looking at as many boats as you can. Try to get ideas of things you like and borrow (steal) them. You're the one that will have to see the boat more than anyone else - make sure you go with something pleasing to your eye. It doesn't matter what anyone else thinks as long as you're happy.

Hey, thanks for all the great input! I never thought of that before but the dark on the bottom does look very good. I got to "thinking" about another idea, All white with maybe a dark blue or metallic blue stripe of some sort down the side, or possibly something like the aristocraft logo with a blue lightning bolt down the side and about 3/4's of the way back ARISTO and CRAFT on each side of the "z"?????? Any thoughts on that??? As far as "borrowing" from other boats, I've definately been doing that but at this rate it'll be about forty different colors. Thanks alot for the imput!!!
