HI all,<br /><br />Anyone know what the correct timing should be set at for the above listed Force outboard using a timing light? I have the manual but it refers to a measuring device and some math calculations and was hoping I could just back the boat into the lake fire it up to 1500 rpms (I think that's what the book said) and just use a timing light to adjust for the correct setting. I don't feel like buying these extra tools but if that's what it takes so be it but was hoping not.<br /><br />Anyhow the motor is a 50hp 1988 serial #507y8d model 1298. Any help would be greatly appreciated.<br /><br />Thanks
