OK, I am going nuts. Simple repair has turned into a 4 hour internet search with no luck. here's the problem.... I bought a 1988 Cruisers 33' express and am getting the "stuff' done on it. It has three hatches to the fore deck which close with a lever type ("L" shaped handle) and two are missing. Thought i'd find at West Marine in seconds, nope, same on web - i guess I need to know what they are called (stype of latch).

Description. Black, seems like a hard plastic, Approx. 4" handle that with approx. 1" short and of the "L". Pivots at the corner of the "L"; short end slides into the receiver slot mounted on hatch frame to close. 90 degree rotation for open or close then handle can be used to push hatch open or pull closed. I could swear I've seen a ton of this style on hatches but darned if I can find one. No photo but i'll take on if I need to or just find a different latch system. Hate to because this one needs jut the handle and two screws to mount it.

Anyone know what this style is called and where to buy? I did see some called "latch Dogs" style but none the same.

You might try the hatch manufacturers directly like Lewmar, Beckson, Maxwell and many more. If you get a part number you could then order it. There's gotta be a way.
