how do i find out the year of a 6 h evinrude? is it within the serial #6302s c 83946. i want to buy a caburator kit. just curious to find the year of the motor.

Goug... Your engine is a 1973 6hp Evinrude. The "Model" number of "6302S"..... 1st number of 6 is hp, 2nd number of 3 is year.
