Need to know about MERC 200 20 hp solenoid

Hello, I am new at fixing outboard motor but I know about mecanic. I am fixing a Merc 200 20 HP 2 stroke outboard motor . I never saw it with it original solenoid. Is it possible for you to sent me a good picture of how it is secured to the motor? Last year I had the lower unit completely rebuild because there was no water comming out of the cooling outlet. And there was no impeler left on the small black rubber water pump.

What year? I am going to be replacing a starter on my 1994 merc 200 next week. I can send you some pics if you want but it won't be for a week or so.

Hello, it is about a 1975 or older. It looks like there is 2 small parts that hold it in place with 2 screws. It is not very clear on the drawings . And those two parts are unavailable. So maybe it is the same on you motor but I AM looking for the solenoid not the starter it self. The rest of the motor seems to work fine, maybe some adjustments to the idle speed.

Hello again... don't forget my model is MERC 200 BUT IT IS ONLY A 20 HP 2 CYLINDRES 2 STROKE MOTOR !!!
