need to know how to patch a hole in bottom of boat

I have a friend that has an 86 aquasport that he bought and it has a hole in the bottom of it where someone hit a pylon. I was wondering how to go about fixing it. the hole is probably 2inches by two inches. Is it done from outside or inside and out. I would have to cut hole in floor to repair from inside but can be done if needed would rather not though.

I gather this is as fiberglass boat. The exact repair will depend on what is damaged, and what is damaged underneath. Check some threads on some of the restoration threads, and you'll find some answers on this.

It is Possible to do an inside/outside repair from just the outside.

Post up some pics and we can sitrep it for you.
