need to raise transom

i have a 12ft john boat, with a 15" transom ,i need to raise it 2 3/8" any ideas on how to do this correctly and make it last and look decent? any help would be greatly appreiciated thanx!

Just buy a jack plate......Look up the Minni Jacker.
