hello everyone<br /><br />can you guys tells me what is the diffrent between a fishfinder and a video sounder/ finder<br /><br />does the video show video under the water??

thanks for the res but how much more clear. <br /><br />all i am asking is <br /><br />what the difrent between a regular fishfinder and a video sounder ?? for instant the furuno fcv-668 it says video sounder. what the video <br /><br />meant is it diffrent from regular fishfinder????

i think the diff is the video sounder looks more like 3D as compared to a 2d fishfinder

In this case the video means it has CRT not a LCD screen. CRT Cathode Ray Tube,or picture tube. CRT units draw 4 amps or more in general.

I did not say it does not matter. CRT very hard to see out in the daylite. In direct sun you might as well turn it off. Also instead of drawing less than one amp they draw 4 to 6 amps so if you have no battery charging that can run down your battery.<br /><br />They also take a lot more room. LCD may be 2 inches where the CRT is 6 or 8 inches deep.<br /><br />It is not a under water Camera.
