Need y'all help baddly

Bother-in-law has 7.5 merc we put a carb kit in it but this thing just will not idle. We cleaned every jet that we can find. We also changed throttle cables. It will idle if you spray carb cleaner. Please help me help him!!!

first all dont spray carb cleaner use spray bottle with mixed gas< unless its a four stroke> also whats the float adjustment set at as you turn it upside down the float should sit level does the primmer bulb get soft when it idles try pumping primmer bulb while it idles see if that helps

First of all thanks for the reply!!! Okay I won't spray it anymore. The ball stays hard and I pulled the cup off and turned it up side and it looks level but it also is bottomed out so I not sure if that is right.

ok looking at it upside down what is normaly bottom of float should be level only other thing i could thing of is either jets are set wrong or pump is going bad
