Need year of Evinrude 85 HP

I have an 85 Evinrude...run perfectly...Ser. # 85895C Fire Power Ignition. Can you please tell me the year and do I need a special lower end oil for this motor??? Thanks

Definitely a 78<br /><br />Any good (modern) lower unit lube should be fine.<br /><br />Good luck!
