Re: Neumanns

It is my theory that if you train for years for a job and then finally get the opertunity to preform it, shurly would be a great sense of pride. Anchors gotta love the water dont they?

Ya know sometimes i get these goofy ideas that maybe should just go unsaid, but i still aint learned my lesson. Thanks for sticking up for me as it was just my lighthearted take on one of my pet peaves. (lets find someone to blame game) I really didnt intend to run the guy off but my post along with what appears to be a consensus of most may be to much for him. The odd thing is I still think it was kinda funny to bad he cannot see it in that light.

For those of you wandering what this is about it is in regards to a post under boats about ramp rights.

Re: Neumanns

I've had several anchors that have heard their calling, and refused to do anything else. They were anchors in the truest sense of the word. Fine anchors. Very successful anchors. Stubborn anchors that refused to un-anchor and take a ride home, eventhough I had promised to let them anchor again in a few days. Those anchors are still anchored, deep in the riprap of the breakwater off Milwaukee harbor. To us, this would be Davy Jones's locker, to them... its heaven.

Just went back and read that thread in the Boats forum. Got to say there was some really good stuff in there. The poor guy asked for it, though, by immediately looking for someone to sue. I think he realizes now that you're just starting to put out the bucks when you pay for your new boat. "Anchors love the water"--best line I've heard in years.
