The set screw came lose for the shifter. I resecured the shifter and now the neutral lock is at the 3/4 throttle position in reverse.<br /><br />I tried to pull the shifter off thinking that the neutral lock could be removed and realigned. The shifter comes almost off the shaft and appears to be catching on something. I really don't want to pull the entire mechanism off. Should I just pull harder? I'm going boating this weekend and am wondering what I should do.<br /><br />Is it ok to leave the neutral lock at this position?
