I was given a boat a month ago I also received the OMC after market repair book with it. The boat is a 1976 galaxy model 700br1 with an omc 120 inboard/outboard. This is my first boat. But the person that gave it to me had the throttle handle tore apart and off the mount. He told me that the forward, neutral, and reverse switch switch was bad. It is busted up. I was going to by pass it with a 3 position switch that I was going to mount on the dash. The problem that I'm having is that the book doesn't have the wiring schematic for the switch and I don't know how to put the throttle handle back together. I have the wiring harness off the boat and can't seem to find the replacement for it on the net and it's not listed in the book. There is a number stamped on the side of the connector it is 2989682. I'm looking for either a schematic for the switch, or a proper part number to find the correct replacement part. That and a break down for the way that the throttle handle goes back together.
