It took a couple of months of part swapping/rebuilding and way too much money for an exhaust manifold and riser but, This '86 auto engine is running really well. Now after I replace the driveshaft seal, gimbal bearing, engine alignment, shift cable adjustment, impeller replacement and drive oil change I'll have rebuilt a perfectly obsolete driveline! Kidding aside, I've had straight inboards or outboards and this is my first Sterndrive boat. I've had a few automotive 2.3's and found them to be decent with little problems. I got the boat for nothing and it's been a fun learning experience. :)

Congrats on the build and one of the worlds most expensive manifolds.

Thanks Scott. I'm learning a lot with this forum, you guys are great. The boat itself is in really good condition and is a step up from my old '74 Tri hull. Plan on running it until I can step up to something big enough to play off shore. :) I'm having trouble posting a pic of the boat, not sure why, I have posted pics here before.
