Don't feel bad, I tried looking at some peoples inflatable pics and couldn't see anything. It's really hard to find communities for this stuff and I love customizing inflatables :)

The is the place! Thousands of pics! They just re worked the site and idk about CPU usage but I'm 99% a Android user and the new interface isn't very mobile friendly.... But the pics and threads here are/were awesome!

damn bro? someone should have paid you to take that. My friend has a 62 johnson and it seems to run pretty nice. The thing is his grandfather bought it new and kept it in mint condition

Best thing about it is routine parts are available right here at iboats. More obscure stuff is available on the net from many vendors.

Have a 1961 I rebuilt for sentimental reasons in the garage which runs well. Because of corrosion, we had to take too much off the block when rebuilding, so it develops less than 7.5 HP, but I love to hear it run. A spacer would probably up the horsepower, but it is kept as a reminder of when I first started running outboards without supervision.

You can get home on one cylinder with those old motors whereas the new ones with CD ignition can leave you in the river.

it is good most people feel as Weimed does,
or else it would be much more difficult to pick
up one of those old "obsolete" OMC motors that
has been sitting around in someone's basement
or garage for 20 years for 50, 100 or 150 big
ones, and with a few more bucks and elbow
grease have a motor that will run another
40 or 50 years for under 2 to 300 dollars.
&
you can usually get one that is running
decently for around $300, maybe 400 or
500 if the fuel system, ignition system,
and water pump impeller have all just
been upgraded / R-nR'd

within the past 2 years, I have acquired a
collection consisting of a
1970 4 HP Johnoson Seahorse with the weedless drive
1963 Evinrude Fastwin 18 HP
1968 Evinrude Sporstman 6 HP
&
1963 Evinrude Sportwin 10 HP
( still coming "on line", the necessary water pump, fuel system, and ignition parts are on order and due to arrive within the next week or so )

and have less than $700 into it
for all of them, they run top notch
and I have no problem taking
any of them out for a solid 2 hour
run at or near WOT

ok,
that is sort of a lie, though I've done it
with the 1st 3 those motors. It is just that
the 4 and 6 HP are slow enough that they
give me little more than a head ache much
beyond a 15 or 20 minute putt out to the
fishing hole on the local impoundment
:)
