New Bad Boy available!

Smith and Wesson has done it again! They now have a 50cal handgun. I think it is the model 500. Gotta check this baby out.<br /><br />Has anyone had the chance to fire one yet?<br /><br />SS

S S fired one about two weekends ago and it is an awesome round and a very hefty weapon. Bucks like a young mule on his way to Missouri<br /> son-in -law buys every new weapon smith put out

Fired the 50 cal Desert Eagle years ago. Pretty smooth gun for its size, but it wasn't a revolver

Gentleman, I’m probably missing something here but you are talking firing a 50 cal. from a handgun. I probably don’t want to know why you would want to do this as much as I would like to know the position of your hand, arm and body after pulling the trigger??.

I think it's because this way there won't be any finger prints or dental records to hassle with, besides the fact you'll only use one round as opposed to more than one, unless you miss the first time.<br />I know you didn't want to know that detail, but I thought it belonged.<br />As far as the "position" after pulling the trigger, I'd assume close to the ground, like on your arse, at best!

yes I have freind with one shot it for the fourth of july( great day to shoot) i will tell you two guys who shot it felt the barrel right between the eyes split them open me it just bruised the palm of my hand

The 50 cal desert eagle I shot was a very smooth feeling gun. Not as much kick as you would think. Shot a flame out the barrel about 4 inches though

For crist sakes, had two of these things on a helicopter. I’m talking machine guns. long barrel and all that. Your talking about taking this thing and shooting it from a hand weapon? I cannot imagine pulling the trigger on a 50 cal hand gun and saying how smooth the it was!!

The 50 cal on the heli is different. It uses the long bullet. This gun (and the Desert Eagle) use one similar to a 44 or 357, just bigger.

If only Glock would make a 50 cal, I would be there. Glocks are the only guns I have ever owned, besides that Mossberg pistol grip 12 guage "Intruder persuader" I had a number of years back....

I once fired a single action revolver chambered for the .45-70 Government cartridge. Danged gun must have weighed 6 or 7 lb.<br /><br />Muzzle blast like unto a .50 BMG, muzzle flame might have started a brush fire. Recoil distinctly greater than a .44Rem Mag Super Blackhawk.<br /><br />No injury, but I didn't want to fire it again.
