I am considering buying a new boat for the family, my little 14 foot flat bottom Isnt Sufficent. I have shopped and shopped all over the area hereand I have narrowed it down to a couple of different boats. With me being young and in sales I want a boat to do many different things. I want to be able to bring my soon to be kids out on the water and have a blast skiing and tubing and also entertain clients of mine out on the water in a bussiness fashion. I have choosen to get a deck boat because they are very roomy and also sporty. The local dealers have a varitey of different boat options like; four winns, sea ray and tracker. They all are very beautiful boats but, the four winns and the sea ray are in a class by themselves compared to the tracker...In my opinion. I am looking for advice on which one to purchase. We need to go with the mercruiser motor because that is the only In/out motor we have service around me. I hope to be haveing this boat for at least 8-10 years. so please help me with your advise on which boat to purchase.

Four Winns and Sea Ray do make nice looking deckboats. Chaparral, Crownline, Kayot, and Regal are also very attractive.

Deckboat design details vary a lot more from brand to brand than you see with bowriders. Even in very basic areas like seat geometry. So it is essential that you check everything. Including all the stuff you would normally take for granted.

Here are some more threads on deckboat shopping -

Buying a Deck Boat

Should I buy a deck boat?

Take your time,
Kelly Cook

stingray will beat all their prices and makes a decent 22' deck boat. think you can get a loaded one with 260hp merc and trailer for 30k. check the website, has prices listed. www.stingrayboats.com. good luck-
