New boat invoice & MSRP

I know the automobile industry makes invoice and MSRP (sticker) prices available to consumers. Holdback and other incentives in addition to the amount paid over invoice represents gross profit. Before purchasing a new truck I researched that the dealer would probably move it for between 2 or 3 percent over invoice and ended up buying at 3% over invoice. In pricing out a new boat (Trophy 2002 walkaround) the manufacturer lists dealers MSRP. However, I would like to have an idea of what I can realistically expect to pay for the boat. Also, wondering if dealers are more likely to offer a better price on a new leftover model or take an order on a new boat which is sold before it even hits their inventory. I know there are some nice new boats in dealer inventory that just haven't sold due to consumers perception of economic uncertainty over the past year. I've been out of the boat purchasing arena for over 15 years and realize some things have changed and am sure somethings have not. I am willing to pay a fair price in order for the dealer to keep the doors open and make an honest living but I don't want to establish a prescidence of being a succer every time I may need their service.

Any helpful resources greatly appreciated!

,,,,,,,,,\=====/,,,,,,,,,,,
i
J <o))><

Kevin
