I just bought my first boat, 21' Pro Line CC with a Yamaha 200. How can I determine the model year of the engine & proper fuelil mixture?

Congratulations! Nice boat.....

On my Yamaha and many I've seen, the mgf year is on a metal label that is on the mounting bracket part of the motor, often on the port side. Look in that same area for mixture info, if not, inside the cowling.

50:1?? The guy I bought it from(he didn't have it very long) said he thought it was 1 qt oil to 12 gallons fuel......

That is basically 50-1. Most marine oil containers will have a chart on the label with the ratios.
