So i got a new to me 1985 bayliner not sure what make. I will get pics later after work. It is a 16 ft bow rider as i would describe it. The title just says bayliner and a hin got it late last night. Traded my old plasma cutter for it. The guys motor froze up and he just gave up on it. Parted the motor put and sold the haul and trailor to me. My qustion is this. I am taking my 1985 85 hp force off of my old boat today. It's rated for a max of 90 per the sticker in the boat. I have a 19 and a 17 degree prop. Currently the 17 is on the motor. Should i stick with this and see how it works? Or start with the 19. Old boat weighed far less from the factory then this bayliner does. Also old boat had the transom fall off so it was obviously not that great. What kind of differences should i expect? They were both v hulls and 16 ft long. This new one is more solid in every way. So i am atleast hoping for a smoother ride and handeling.
