Getting ready to install a new Bravo transom shield. Any tips would be appreciated in regards to the seal. Use any adhesive or sealant?
Any other tips welcome too.

Thanks.

No sealant, just slide it in and torque it to spec (23 ft lb) in a cross hatch pattern.

If it uses the foam type seal install the seal with bellows adhesive, 3M weatherstrip, contact cement, etc. The only other sealant I use is a 1/16 th bead of black RTV between the end of the housing and the beginning edge of the foam seal. No type of sealant on the seal itself
