New camshaft

I have a new .480 Intake .486 Exhaust
229 Intake / 230 Exhaust duration
@ .050 - 110 degree lobe separation camshaft. Will it work in a pre vortec gm v8 for a boat?

Ayuh,..... Sounds like it could be Too Hot, 'n allow reversion,.....

Seems to me, 'bout 228 duration is pretty much the upper limit, unless ya run dry exhaust,....
