How about using those soft-ish, perforated rubber mats that are used in like commercial kitchens and around work areas?

From my experience with the ones we used in our fraternity kitchen, they are pretty heavy.. so that would be added weight to the boat..

Not a bad idea, but they are very heavy, they don't drain well, & are a pain to clean (they tend to trap dirt/debris). Just speaking from my experience using these at work.

recommend this over the mats, i also considered them, expensive, and heavy. this is what is one PWC's http://www.hydroturf.com/products.php?cat=Sheets of Hydro-Turf i also do not think the mats are UV protected.

Well if you are going to install a commercial kitchen those mats could be a great idea

Keep in mind ANYTHING that you install ontop of the deck has the ability to trap moisture and water is it is not sealed 100%. Even the hydroturf stuff that TD mentions is nice but will trap water if not 100% sealed.

Establish what you are tying to accomplish. Is it a comfortable surface? Durable surface? Roll on bed liner coatings come in colors..... marine carpet or marine vinyl when properly attached lasts years too.

I would shy away from the rubber flooring mats that you show.

have you thought about how hot they would get in the summer sun, ever burnt the sole of your foot? that is the reason you do not see many Black boats, the ladies in the cute bikini's, don't like burning their tuss. best way to loose a looker.

I've got rubber mats in my work trailer and it is turning the floor black under the mats.
