I just ordered a new Drive and Exhaust bellows for my DPS-A outdrive. I noticed that with the new Drive bellows only one new clamp was provided. The exhaust bellows came with two. If I remember right, when I disconnected my old Drive bellows, it had a clamp on each end. Am I expected to reuse the old clamp on the other end? Why would Volvo only include one clamp?
I did notice that the new Drive bellows, part# 22197130, is made up of a different material from the old. The new bellows is more of a plastic, less rubbery than the old one and a slightly different shape. The paperwork that came with it says the material was changed to make it more durable. But does anyone know why only hose clamp is supplied. Am I to re-use the old or are clamps no longer needed with the new material?
