Well,my new boat showed up today.. Been wait'n for six weeks. She's rigged with a 150H mercury optimax. Cant wait to get her on the water. Any tips will be greatly appreciated. I've owned one other boat but am all ears when it comes to advice. thanks for your input.

Get a knife and put a couple scratches on it so you'll enjoy her. Sounds like a nice boat, congrats.

When you open it all the way up be careful of chim walking. Slow down until it stops.

I think he meant chine walking, which is a violent rocking from side to side at speed.

Well, chine walking can be violent, or it can be just a little tip from side to side while planing... depends on the weight of the hull and the shape of the chines.

But, either way, slow down a lil if it happens
