New Forum Default Display Mode?

Just wondering how to set the forum default to Linear mode. When I dump the cookies on my computer, the display shows thread mode, and I always have to change it. Is anyone else having this difficulty?

Settings (up in the top right corner)

Then on the left side 3rd set of instructions down is My Settings

Then go to General Settings and it is in there.

Hmmm did not know it was cookie related.

Just checked again, and my settings are set to Linear display. I must have to log in to view the forum in Linear display. I have noticed that this only occurs when I am not logged in. Must be the forum default.

This just started with me as well. As you said if you are logged in no problem.

I'm not sure what your problem actually is, the default mode is "Linear-Oldest First" not thread.
If you do not log in, it appears the same to me, and there really isn't anything you can do about it.
Why don't you just click the remember me box when you log in, then, even if you dump your cookies, you will stay logged in. There is no advantage to logging out each time.

With out logging into the forum, this is what the page looks like. It is in thread mode.

Ok, now I understand what you are saying, and I even logged out and got the same thing.
First, you can't change the settings without being a member.
All you have to do is click the Display drop down menu and click linear to change it from thread to linear during the entire session you are on.

I was surprised, I tried to look at the forum the other day on my new computer and could not even log in, the menu displayed at the top right of the page, didn't appear on my browser on the new machine, I had to do a search in the fAQ's to even find out where to log in at..
