The brain dead idiots in the city government of San Franwako have placed measure "H" on the ballot for next Tuesday's special election.<br /><br />Measure "H", ban's hand guns by EVERYBODY in San Franwacko. If the bill passes, gun owners will have until a date in April, 2006 to surrender their gun(s), or face criminal charges.<br /><br />But wait, there's more.....It was also mentioned police officers might have to leave their duty weapons at their assigned station house, when OFF duty, to comply with ballot measure. This aspect of this Communist action has yet do be decided.<br /><br />Reason #18,172 to get the H*ll out of this state.<br /><br />...Bob in Calif... "Always locked and loaded"

Bob<br /> bummer dude.<br /> but just think how much safer the crooks will be now that they will be the only ones armed. thats part of why the french riots spread with such impunity. would like to see street thugs in my area drive up on scooters and start chunking molotovs, would not take but one and the hood will resound in gunfire, there they had no fear.

"Reason #18,172 to get the H*ll out of this state."<br /> I disagree. More like reason #18,172 to stay and vote against it. We need voters like you in this state Bob. California went to h*ll in a handbasket a long time ago, we need to bring it back. I moved here for my daughters health, and I'm hating it, but I'm not leaving. I'm voting!

Kalian.........<br /><br />I don't live in San Franxxxx. and wouldn't live there even if someone gave me a free house. Thus, I can't vote against that ballot measure.<br /><br />I won't even go there for dinner's with out of town friend's who wnat to try different resturant's they have read about. <br /><br />The only time I get to "the city", is to go to a Giant's game and that's only if wy wife pays for the tickets and beers..... :D <br /><br />I live 25 miles south of SF, in a rare "Red" city, that's close enough for me.<br /><br />...Bob in Calif...

Stick to your guns..."When guns are outlawed only outlaws will have guns".....Stay & vote....Washington comes up with all kinds of stupid initiatives on a regular basis....Stay with what you know is right.....& vote! California cannot build enough prisons to contain people who will not comply....Pass an initiative that will put the death penalty on those who would use a gun to implement a crime....& make the resoloution clear.....Execution within 30 days with no appeal...If you are caught on video while performing the act....See ya! It may not be a deterrent but it will clean up the streets.....I say make those crimes less profitable, on a cost to risk analysis, for the perpatrator....JK

Just remember Bob, this is all being brought to you by the party of PW2. IMHO it casts alot of doubt on any and all of his other political opinions. I don't think I have yet seen any refutation, on his part, of any of his party's core values. Methinks that this is one of the biggest ones.

not all rehubs support weapons and not all dumbocrats want to take them away, ya gotta pick and chose. I did most all my high school in vallejo and novato with a stint at jefferson high in daly city. lived at the mission bell motel just up the street from that school for 9 months. what a place it was. moved from grandbay Al to daly city Ca :)

arm the police and military as much as possible, and take the handguns from the public (you can keep your shotguns for hunting). just my opinion, that's all.

If the criminals gave up their guns I would be with you mattttt25 but that's not going to happen.

I used to think so too. I'm still not registered with any party affiliation, but now believe that this is naive. You may need to argue points within a party, but the only way to have any real voice is to vote the party that supports most of your values. In my case that is the Republicans.<br /><br />I do not agree with all of either party's positions. Heck, most politicians don't, but I believe STRONGLY that the Republicans will screw this place up less than the Dems. Losing a few elections ought to have given the Dems a clue, but frankly they keep moving further left. It's gonna take more time . . .

Yeah Matttt, that is great plan. It worked perfectly for Stalin, Hitler and Chairman Mao. Castro likes that policy as well.

That's exactly why we have in our Constitution the right to bear arms.....this is not only to protect ourselves from thugs and oppresive government.<br /><br />Yes, I'm packing and legal!

That statement screams volumes.............not only on this issue but almost, if not every issue concerning the government attempting to legislate safety or morality for the masses. When the choice is the lesser of two evils, it ain’t much of a choice. :(

hey, just my opinion. by the way, how many people here have pulled out their 9 mil and shot an intruder? better yet, how many have shot a would-be burglar at 7-11? don't go rushing to the nra homepage to post all those stories for me. just want to know how many people here have done this.

you probably won't find many. the idea of carrying is not to have to use it....however, to protect my or my family...yes I will. (I don't carry my 9mm...too big to conceal....) I prefer my Kel-Tec P32 with glaser safety slugs<br /><br />When you go through a concealed carry class, it's more on conflict resolution than using your weapon. However, if you have to use your weapon you know what to do, etc.<br /><br />Also, I think the reason you don't see many law abiding citizens that carry use them....and here's the kicker.....criminals don't know who is packing and who isn't. You take away the right to own a handgun (and especially carry it) the crooks have nothing to fear!

Re: New gun grab measure on Nov. 8th. ballot.

LT,<br /><br />No matter how you twist it, same thing applies. I want Republicans running the show until something better comes along. You can call it lesser of two evils, or better of two choices or the better party right now. I don't care about the semantics, just the fact that I want people in power who think the most like me.<br /><br />Maybe a better example is that a lot of people vote in Presidential elections for the guy's (or gal's) personality. What the heck does personality have to do with the way somebody will run the country? Nothing. I vote based on who and what party will run this place closest to the way I want them to.<br /><br />This issue is a classic example. If you want the Second Amendment left alone and interpreted in a way that allows you to own guns, then I suggest you vote Republican.<br /><br />If you want laws eliminating second hand smoke from your outdoor air, then I suggest you vote Democrat.

QT,<br /><br /> Wasn’t commenting on your stance. Just the way your statement struck me. It seems a sheety deal to have to settle for politician "A" because their stance on issue "Fill in the blank" coincides with what we deem to be a key issue to us personally. Even if other aspects (less important) of their agenda trouble us. It seems if you don’t support the entire package you’re deemed to be against it.

Re: New gun grab measure on Nov. 8th. ballot.

LT,<br /><br />Cool man. I was pretty much in tune with your intentions, but wanted to clarify mine. I agree, sad state, but I am not sure how it could be any other way. I believe that not matter what, we will always end up with two dominant political parties. I can't see how anyone would agree with everything from anybody or any party.
